CBI 6th AGM 2021

This year’s AGM has a new tweak as it is being convened virtually on Zoom platform. CBI 6th AGM was convened on schedule at 2.00 pm with chairperson Ms Margaret Loy giving an opening speech. She communicated that CBI are resilient in our integrity cause and we
should continue to soldier on to eradicate corruption which is much rooted in the country’s
system internally and externally. She also thanked and applauded the team who has
successfully completed the project on Corruption in the Supply Chain which was launched on 22 June 2021.
Following up was the director’s report delivered by Mr Mark Chay stating the year’s event
schedule and a brief summary on the recently completed project on Supply Chain Corruption which was successfully launched despite encountering challenging research works and unpredictable lockdowns during the preparation for the launch. He further presented the Financial Statements, Auditors’ Report and 2021 CBI Budget which were duly approved and seconded respectively by the members who were at the meeting.
There were further sharing by CBI’s founder Dr Ho Chai Yee on the education systems and
the challenges encountered to implement integrity standards and commitment. Members also raised the fact that we should ‘sow the seed’ among the younger age group to create
awareness and the foundation for the betterment of the future of the nation.
The meeting was adjourned at 3.00 pm with a note of thanks from our CEO, Mr Mark Chay.
